Karl Yewdall celebrates 25 years at Servaclean
Since starting the business in 1988, Servaclean has come a long way and we have been lucky to have had employees who have made a large contribution to our success.
Karl Yewdall, our Warehouse Operative, started with us in Sept 1996 and quickly proved he was hard-working, dedicated to his job and a major asset to the warehouse team.
As he now enters his 25th anniversary of having worked with us, we asked Karl a few questions about his time at Servaclean.
How did you find out about the job at Servaclean?
A friend knew I was unhappy in my current job and told me about the job at Servaclean that he had seen advertised. I decided to apply and was successful in getting the position.
How’s Servaclean changed over the last 25 years?
Compared to when I started 25 years ago, there is now a much larger product range available for the bars and we now supply mobile bars.
Improvements have also been made to the warehouse including additional new racking, a new mezzanine floor to provide room for extra stock and extra new office space.
What do you like about working at Servaclean?
It’s great to be in a clean and friendly working environment. We are constantly busy and the days fly by.
How’s your role at Servaclean changed over the last 25 years?
In 2007 Servaclean got a forklift truck and paid for me to obtain my forklift truck licence. Having the forklift truck definitely helps with loading and unloading compared to when I first started my job and allowed us to increase our warehouse storage with new higher racking. I am now involved with the building and packaging of the mobile bars range plus preparing orders for overseas delivery.
Servaclean and your future?
I am really happy working at Servaclean and plan on being here for the duration – unless I win the lottery and I might have to reconsider.
