Meet Our New Technical Manager
We welcomed our new Technical Manager, John Richardson, to the team in April.
We recently sat down with him to see how his first month has gone and to find out more about our new employee:
How have you found your first month at Servaclean?
Throughout my first month at Servaclean, I have found the company and staff very welcoming. I started working with Servaclean on my 44th Birthday, so it will be a date I will not forget!
After being with my previous company for almost 25 years, I have had a lot of new processes to learn and a lot to take in, but it has been an enjoyable first month.
What is the best part of the role?
I am really enjoying the new challenge of working with a different product range and being able to bring my fabrication background knowledge to Servaclean.
What are you looking forward to achieving in the next year within the business?
I am hoping to provide a seamless transition to allow Tony, Servaclean’s current Technical Manager, to reduce his role within the company and to be able to enjoy his pending retirement. Although an engineer never really retires!
I am looking forward to helping to develop new products and evolve existing products, to better serve the customers of Servaclean, and assist Servaclean to attract new business through its product portfolio.
What are your outside interests?
Outside of work I enjoy varied interests. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and going on walks together (weather permitting). I also enjoy my mountain biking – I like to try and get a ride in with friends at least once a week, more if time permits. I also have a keen interest in music and I play a variety of musical instruments.
What’s one thing we wouldn’t know about you?
I play bass guitar in an 80’s style rock band called Kindred and gig with them most weekends.
Everyone at Servaclean would like to welcome John to the team and we look forward to seeing how he develops in his role as Technical Manager over the coming months.
