Our Sustainability Pledge
We believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to have a duty of care to minimise their impact on the environment.
At Servaclean we have, since our inception in 1988, ensured that sustainability is engrained into our company ethos.
A Bar for Life
When Servaclean was established in 1988, choosing to use food quality 304 grade stainless steel was the obvious material choice. This high quality, hard-wearing, long-lasting material is the perfect product for our ‘BARFrame’ bar building system and associated fitments.
Today, it is estimated that 80% of all new stainless steel produced is made using recycled content and, together with the fact that stainless steel is 100% recyclable, a Servaclean bar is ‘A Bar for Life’.
Renewable materials
We carefully consider the design of all our products, ensuring that they can withstand the highest level of demands within a busy bar servery.
Our ‘GLASShelf’ patented wire rack is dip-coated in Rilsan® PA11, a high-performance food quality Polymer, which is produced from castor oil – a 100% renewable source.
We supply Bottle Coolers which are manufactured in the UK – this reduces the impact of CO² emissions which results from transportation of mass produce, pre-built cabinets from overseas. All units are designed to lower energy consumption, saving money on energy bills, reducing your carbon footprint, and can be recycled at the end of their life.
Our ‘ICEChest’ units are fully insulated keeping ice frozen for hours, therefore reducing the frequency to run energy demanding ice machines, saving time, money and helping to reduce CO²
.….. and much more.
Product Longevity
The unique Servaclean Bar System range is designed to be fully interchangeable to keep up with ever changing trends with minimum cost and waste.
Our ‘Reconditioning Service’ allows an existing Servaclean bar counter to be recovered from site, professionally cleaned and re-installed to the same or an improved bar counter layout using existing and new items as required.
A Servaclean bar will grow with your business, enabling you to continuously ‘replan, reuse and reduce’ throughout its lifespan; saving you money and enabling you to continuously improve and always run an efficient, high-performing bar.
The future
Being sustainable and aware of your carbon footprint is something that comes from within. Our Directors Deana Roberts and Andy Royston, being huge advocates of sustainability, are constantly reviewing and investing in the company. Recent investments include Solar Panels, electric charging points for our ‘all electric/hybrid company vehicle fleet’ and LED lighting throughout our warehouse and offices.
We will continue to strive to keep improving our sustainability credentials. One of our current projects is to be a paperless company by 2025.
Investment into sustainability is an investment into the future.
