Urban Playground – Case Study
The brand-new revolutionary entertainment venue, Urban Playground, opened its doors to the public in February 2022 for the first time. The new attraction, located in Manchester Arndale, offers customers a span of unique leisure experiences ranging from ‘The Cube Live Experience’, a game based on the iconic TV show of the same name, to luxury burger eatery ‘The Butcher’. This exciting new addition to Manchester is a partnership between Mellors Group and Objective Media Group, as well as a number of different companies working on the project in order to bring the idea to life. The concept of the venue was developed by renowned architects Baranowitz + Kronenberg (B+K) and this has led to Urban Playground being an experience like no other.
The Momentum Group were the client’s Project Manager for this project as well as the contractor, working alongside All Bar None Ltd. At the very beginning of the project, the space was three empty retail units in the Manchester Arndale; they stripped them back and combined the units into one large one that then underwent a complete re-fit. The process and development of Urban Playground required a lot of coordination and a number of external companies, ranging from Interior Designer Inhaus Solutions to our bar fitting company Servaclean Bar Systems, in order to enable the different aspects and brands within the venue to be installed.
Two large leisure bars were designed, manufactured and installed into the all-new Urban Playground by Servaclean. Servaclean’s Sales Director Neil Allitt led the way for the designing, manufacturing and install team on this project in order to provide the best possible service and results for the clients. The two bars add to the revolutionary experience that Urban Playground provides, offering customers the chance to indulge in premium food and drink whilst having competitive fun with friends and family. Stocked at the bars is a wide range of beer, wines, spirits, cocktails and soft-drinks, meaning that there is an option for everyone to enjoy!
